Privacy Policy
1. General Provisions
1.1. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) establishes the procedure for processing and protecting personal information of Users, which the Association of Legal Entities “Corporate Governance League” (“Association”) may obtain during visits to and use of the Association’s website. 1.2. The Policy has been developed in accordance with the requirements of the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan on personal data protection and with international law standards. We take timely measures to protect your personal data in accordance with this Policy and applicable legislation, and we ensure that the processing and protection of personal data meet high global standards. 1.3. Processing of personal data is carried out based on: 1.3.1. The Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan; 1.3.2. The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Personal Data and Their Protection”; 1.4. The terms specified in this Policy (including any part thereof) may be amended by the Association without prior notice or any compensation. The new version of the Policy comes into effect upon its publication on the Association’s website.
2. Composition of Users’ Personal Information Collected and Processed by the Association
2.1. This Policy is intended to inform you about our actions regarding the collection and processing of your personal data when you use our website, as well as during activities not related to the use of the website. Please note that our website may contain links to other service providers’ resources, which we do not control and to which this Policy does not apply. We require our partners to handle users’ data carefully and work only with companies with a verified reputation. 2.2. To achieve the objectives of this Policy, we use cookies and automatic logging technologies. A cookie is a small text file stored on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.). Automatic logging takes the form of log files used by our web servers and security systems. The processing of these data is intended solely for the secure use of our website and to improve its quality. 2.3. Users’ personal information is not disclosed to third parties by the Association, except in the following cases:
2.3.1. If the transfer of personal data is necessary to provide a government service; 2.3.2. If the user has given consent for the transfer of their data to a third party; 2.3.3. If the transfer is required by applicable law.
3. Processing of Users’ Information
3.1. The Association collects and processes only such information about Users, including their personal data, as is necessary to fulfill the Association’s obligations and to execute obligations under the User Agreement.
4. Measures to Protect Users’ Information
4.1. The Association takes all necessary and sufficient organizational and technical measures to protect Users’ personal information from unauthorized or accidental access, destruction, alteration, blocking, dissemination, as well as from other unlawful actions. 4.2. In processing Users’ personal data, the Association is guided by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 21, 2013 No. 94-V “On Personal Data and Their Protection.” 4.3. When collecting and processing personal data for marketing and other research purposes, the data owner and/or the Association anonymizes the personal data provided.
5. Final Provisions
5.1. This Policy, the relationship between the User and the Association arising from the application of this Policy, as well as issues not regulated by this Policy, are governed by the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
