1. Engagement with Government Authorities and companies
Leveraging an extensive network of professional contacts and deep expertise in corporate governance and compliance, the Association provides comprehensive support in interactions with government authorities at the national and regional levels. Our team brings together experts with many years of experience working within government bodies, entities of the quasi-public sector, state authorities, and national companies, as well as professionals with a deep understanding of the regulatory environment and decision-making practices. We apply our accumulated knowledge in public administration, legislation, and regulatory procedures, along with well-established professional relationships, to protect and advance the interests of our members and partners. The Association supports a broad range of matters affecting the activities of public and quasi-public organizations, as well as private companies engaging with the public sector — from corporate governance and compliance oversight to strategic and institutional initiatives.
2. Promotion of Advanced Corporate Governance Standards
Development and implementation of corporate governance standards aligned with the requirements of international organizations and national features. Support for Kazakhstan companies in adapting and implementing advanced corporate governance practices and principles. Development of methodological guidelines for governing bodies to improve internal governance systems.
3. Development of the Institute of Independent Directors
Promotion and popularization of the role of independent directors in Kazakhstan companies. Support for initiatives aimed at improving the procedures for selection and appointment of independent directors. Training, certification, and development of a professional community of independent directors.
4. Compliance and Risk Management
Development of AI and support of compliance programs and risk management systems, including anti-corruption measures. Advanced training and consulting for compliance and ethics specialists. Dissemination of best compliance practices and management of reputational risks.
5. Counterparty Security Check
Development and implementation of standards and methodologies for counterparty security check. Training companies in counterparty assessment methods to prevent financial and reputational risks.
6. Digitalization of Corporate Governance
Assistance in the implementation of digital tools and technologies to automate corporate governance processes. Support and training for Association members in digital transformation and the implementation of IT solutions.
7. Corporate Security
Development and implementation of recommendations on corporate security and protection of confidential information. Training Association members in methods of protecting information and corporate assets. Support and development of protection programs against internal and external threats, including cybersecurity and data protection.
8. Participation in the Development of the Regulatory and Legal Framework
Interaction with government authorities and participation in the preparation of proposals for regulatory acts. Development of initiatives and standards to improve corporate governance and protect shareholders’ rights. Participation in advisory bodies to support the development of Kazakhstan’s legislative framework.
